Dear GMB Member,
87% of GMB members voted overwhelmingly to reject the NHS England Pay Offer.
GMB is the only trade union to have rejected the pay deal. All other trade unions voted to accept and therefore the pay award will be imposed and will be received in July with back-pay received in August.
If you are not at the top of your pay band, your increment will be received on your normal increment date. One of our main concerns about this pay deal is that it is extremely complicated and varies between individuals.
There has been a lot of confusion for staff with regards what their pay increase would be and when they would receive it.
To check to see what your pay journey will be you need to access the NHS Employers Pay Calculator at:
GMB Regions are consulting with all eligible members using a combination of workplace and postal ballots.

For details of how you will be balloted please contact your local representative.
At this stage, this is not a ballot for industrial action. It is a consultative ballot only so that we are able to assess the strength of feeling amongst our members to participate in industrial action over the pay award.
Ballot Opens: Monday 9 July
Ballot Closes: Wednesday 8 August
It is vitally important that every member uses their vote and has their say on pay.
Non-union members can join and have a vote – request an application form from your local representative or join online atwww.gmb.org.uk/join
